Leapley Construction’s founder, Meredith Leapley, has been selected as a “Power Woman” in BisNow’s Atlanta Power Women. In an upcoming event on November 29, Meredith and the other honorees will be recognized at a breakfast event that will focus on hard-hitting issues women in construction and commercial real estate are facing, as well as celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of the 24 women selected.
According to Bisnow, “In a nationwide survey conducted earlier this year, 87.2% of respondents said the biggest challenge facing women in CRE today is a need for equal pay, lack of promotional opportunities, and feeling that their opinions aren’t as valued or respected as those of their male colleagues. Here at Bisnow, diversity is cherished, respected, and celebrated. Join us as we honor and celebrate women in Atlanta’s CRE industry, and for the strides and steps they’ve made forward, bringing their fellow female compatriots along the way.”
“I am honored to have been selected alongside these power women from across the industry,” says Meredith. “I have reached this point in my career due to hard work and an amazing network who helped me get here. It’s my turn to give back to the community.” Meredith has helped raise up other women in the workforce through her work with the board of the Georgia State University College of Business Women Lead program, as well as her personal Leap In and Build program to help promote personal and professional growth for women in the industry.
