Project Description
turnerboone Showroom
The assignment:
Located in the King Plow Art District, this high-end showroom showcases the turnerboone brands and provides a creative work environment in this historic building. Construction scope consisted of a reception/showroom, conference rooms, breakroom, restrooms, storage, and offices.
The challenge:
Built in 1921, this building was operated as a part of the Puritan Mill Chemical Company. The main construction challenge was creating the designers’ modern vision while adapting to the historic surroundings. Working in historic buildings presents many challenges with existing conditions. Leapley assisted early in the process for this project, generating early knowledge of potential constructability issues and ways to solve them.
