Southern Crescent Behavioral Health System provides treatment for psychiatric and addictive diseases for children, adolescents, and adults. Expansion plans for their Stockbridge, GA, hospital included a 16,000 square foot electroconvulsive therapy suite with dormitory housing, laundry and living spaces for up to 26 patients.
Leapley built out the space, which included procedure and recovery rooms, 27 dorms, five group rooms, conference room, offices, staff lounge, community and private bathrooms, and living rooms.
The biggest challenge
While the renovated space was on a single floor, the team performed extensive plumbing and HVAC work that involved the floor below. The Leapley team completed the work on an extremely tight schedule.
This project is an example of Leapley’s skill and efficiency at biomedical construction. Our team executed this project from initial budgeting through permitting, value engineering, and complete buildout.
