Miller & Martin wanted their new Atlanta law office to be a unique reflection of their own distinct style. The former law firm tenant’s two-floor office was dated and traditional – quite different from the modern, grand, fresh aesthetic that Miller & Martin envisioned. This renovation incorporated elements from the client’s former office, existing components, and newly designed features.
The buildout was completed in 16 weeks, and included a reception area, conference rooms, library and copy room, break rooms, catering kitchen, multipurpose rooms, administrative spaces, board room, bar, and offices.
The biggest challenge
Reuse of some of Miller & Martin’s furniture, millwork, artwork, and catering and office equipment added complexity to the project.
- A grand entrance features an elegant circular reception desk and stone flooring with a visually impactful inlay design that encircles the desk. The shape is echoed again in the ceiling, where special lighting further emphasizes the theme.
- Contemporary finishes abound, including liberal use of glass, exotic wood, a fresh color palette, and unobstructed city views from the floor to ceiling windows.
- The conference facility is flooded with daylight and highly functional, with upgraded A/V and media systems.
