About Compassion In Action
Approximately 16,625 Atlanta women and children will suffer a shortage of our most basic need - shelter. Nearly 14% of our city's homeless are women and children, yet only a nominal bed-space in shelters is set aside for them. These alarming statistics reveal how essential our help is - CREW Atlanta has found a way to make a difference.
Eleven years ago, CREW Atlanta established Compassion in Action to give back to our city that has given so much to us. With to the generosity of our sponsors, we have granted approximately $1.1 million through Atlanta Women’s Foundation which benefits homeless women and children.
