Meredith Leapley, CEO & Founder of Leapley Construction, was honored with an honorary alumna award at the Georgia State University’s 15th annual J. Mack Robinson College of Business Alumni Awards Celebration on November 15.

“Meredith is widely-respected in business and as an entrepreneur,” says Dr. Nancy Mansfield, Director of GSU’s WomenLead and professor of legal studies. “She is also revered for her authenticity.  Her big-hearted commitment to community service and her laser focus in helping the next generation of leaders find and embrace their personal greatness – to dream of all that they can be. She has endowed the Meredith Leapley WomenLead professorship – ensuring the sustainability of this program. The reason the WomenLead students know their dreams are due to the example and encouragement of Meredith Leapley.”

” I am thrilled to now be a GSU Panther and to receive this honorary alumna award, alongside the other amazing award winners whose careers in business, service to the community, and service to GSU are so inspiring,” says Meredith. “I look forward to contributing more to GSU as a mentor and being part of this tribe of women.”

The six award recipients represent finance, pediatric healthcare, construction, feminine health, real estate, and cargo and logistics. This year, five of the recipients are Robinson College graduates; one is an honorary alumna. In some years, the selection committee honors special individuals with the honorary alumnus award. The recipients, while not Robinson graduates, are chosen for the unique contributions that singularly qualify them for special recognition.

One hundred individuals have received Robinson College Alumni Awards since the recognition was introduced in 2003. Click here to see the other winners.
